Expandaveyor – Mobile steel skate wheel gravity flexible conveyor. Concertina lattice extends into straights or bends. Height adjustable!
The BZP Skate Wheel Flexible Conveyor has been designed specifically as a cost-effective solution for efficiently transporting product.
The nature of this mobile conveyor makes it extremely versatile, due to its expanding concertina arrangement. The steel skatewheel flexible conveyor is highly adaptable and can be pulled in and out as well as curved around corners and obstacles allowing for limitless configurations. Its design allows the conveyor to be set with sharp bends, while the interlocking skate wheels help track the flat based product around the curve.
This gravity conveyor is proven to dramatically decrease the time it takes to transport products smoothly and efficiently. Whilst in operation it is extremely user friendly and versatile, when it is not in operation it can be contracted to a fraction of its size for compact storage (see table for closed lengths)
48mm diameter skate wheels is our standard offering, mounted in a mild-steel lattice frame with a bright zinc plated finish. When extended the roller pitch is 125mm, the conveyor is available in a range of standard lengths starting at 1,500mm to 9,500mm open. Connecting hooks can be used to join the flexibles together to configure infinite lengths.
Ocon Conveyors manufacture a comprehensive flexible conveyor range, if this does not suit your needs please view our alternatives in the related products section below.

Can you make long lengths using a concertina conveyor?
Yes, that is the beauty of a flexible conveyor, you can hook multiple lengths together to create a layout that suits you. You can manipulate the conveyor to introduce bends & curves to suit your operation.
Can I use this conveyor to unload & load vehicles?
We strongly advise using our Telescopic Expressway when loading and unloading a trailer or container over a loading dock, this has been specifically designed for this purpose. People often think that a flexible conveyor is appropriate, but that nature of its design means that they don’t cope with the stresses and strains of the de-stuffing environment and bend over the dock leveller if not set correctly.
What is the tightest curve I can set the flexible conveyor?
Extremely tight radius can be achieved with the flexible conveyor. The conveyor can be easily set to suit the bend you require. Contact our sales team for the exact radius that can be achieved, as they differ depending on width and model type.
What does expandaveyor mean?
Expandaveyor is the name for our range of flexible conveyors. The range was introduced in the early 80s and is now extremely popular in the industry. The range has fantastic reputation for quality & reliability.
What is a pitch is the conveyor?
When the conveyor is fully extended the pitch is 125mm as standard. If you have shorter product we can manufacture the flexible conveyor with a restricted pitch to suit.
What pitch do I require?
As a general rule, the base of the box should always cover 3 skate wheel assemblies. For example, a 300mm long product would require a minimum pitch of 100mm (300mm ÷ 3 rollers = 100mm).
What are the advantages of skate wheel conveyors?
Skate wheels are extremely free running, so light product can convey with the conveyor set at a small angle. They are also fantastic at tracking product around bends. Another benefit is you can put products side by side & they will run independently. Useful Tip – Flat based products are required when using a skate wheel conveyor.
We can manufacture bespoke conveyors to suit your requirements.
